National Youth Conference – Dare to Care
Date: 16 August 2025
Location: German Jordanian University
The National Youth Conference, organized by Core Consultants Network (CCN) in partnership with UN Women and supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), marked International Youth Day 2025 with a powerful message of equality and shared responsibility. Held at the German Jordanian University, the event gathered over 150 young participants from across Jordan, alongside representatives from governmental institutions, international organizations, and media outlets.
The conference provided an interactive platform for youth to express their visions for social justice and challenge gender stereotypes surrounding household and caregiving roles. Through PechaKucha-style youth talks, the “Walk in Her Shoes” simulation, and the Vision Vox Box – Jordan 2050, participants explored creative and inclusive approaches to redefine care in Jordanian society. The day also featured the Dare to Care Pledge Wall, where attendees committed to fostering balanced responsibilities at home, and the launch of a national online slogan competition to engage youth across the country.
Speakers included Ms. Sherry Ritsema-Anderson, UN Resident Coordinator in Jordan, who emphasized the vital role of youth in driving equality and inclusion, and Prof. Ala’aldeen Al-Halhouli, President of the German Jordanian University, who encouraged young participants to lead innovative change within their communities. In his remarks, Mr. Salim Nuqul, CEO of Core Consultants Network, highlighted the campaign’s long-term mission to expand youth-driven advocacy and community engagement initiatives across Jordan through 2026.
