Dare to Care is a national advocacy campaign led by Core Consultants Network (CCN), in collaboration with UN Women.

The campaign seeks to increase the amount of time men and young men spend participating in household responsibilities and parental caregiving. Through creative outreach and youth-centered strategies, it works to build awareness and momentum for long-term shifts in social norms across Jordanian communities.

Running through September 2026, Dare to Care continues to engage young people, families, artists, and institutions through a wide range of community-focused activities designed to inspire change at the individual and societal levels.

1

Youth Ambassadors – 300 Trained and Active

The campaign began by training 300 young women and men as ambassadors across Jordan. These ambassadors received specialized training in public engagement, social awareness messaging, community organizing, and creative advocacy.

Each participant is now actively involved in promoting shared caregiving responsibilities through localized initiatives. The youth ambassadors are the backbone of Dare to Care — building trust within their communities, creating meaningful dialogue, and challenging expectations.

2

Interactive Theatre Shows – 10 Performances

Dare to Care brings its message to life through ten powerful interactive theatre performances, held in public spaces and community venues. Five shows are presented in 2025 and five in 2026. Each show is based on real-life scenarios depicting the daily emotional and physical responsibilities of caregiving. Audience members are invited to step into the story, challenge behaviors, and propose new outcomes. This format transforms spectators into participants and reinforces the call for collective responsibility.

3

National Youth Conferences (2025 & 2026)

The first National Youth Conference was held in August 2025 at the German Jordanian University, gathering over 150 youth from all regions.

Participants took part in an immersive experience including a keynote interactive theatre performance, creative booths, video storytelling corners, and PechaKucha-style presentations. These talks covered lived experiences and social messages about responsibility, care, and empathy. The second conference in 2026 will build on these foundations and serve as a national platform for sharing impact.

4

Podcast Series – Dare to Speak (12 Episodes)

The campaign’s monthly podcast series, Dare to Speak, is a space for deep and open conversation. It features 12 episodes broadcast from early 2025 to early 2026, each tackling a different theme related to caregiving, daily household responsibilities, emotional labor, and personal transformation. With youth voices at the center, the podcast features interviews with parents, experts, and everyday citizens who reflect on changes within their families and society. The goal is to normalize shared care and responsibility at home.

5

Murals & Public Art (5 Murals)

Five murals will be painted across different Jordanian cities – two in 2025 and three in 2026. Each mural is designed collaboratively with young artists and local communities through workshops that explore visual symbolism, storytelling, and positive representations of care. These public artworks transform everyday streets into messages of shared responsibility, equality in effort, and the dignity of caregiving.

6

Online Youth Slogan Competition & Launch Film

To encourage creativity and collective ownership, Dare to Care is organizing an online slogan competition. Youth will be invited to submit original slogans that promote the values of care and mutual responsibility at home. A short launch film will be produced and released widely to spark excitement, explain the campaign’s purpose, and introduce the competition. A selection committee will choose the top three submissions, whose creators will be honored at a special celebration in collaboration with UN Women.
